The Definition of Personal Information
The Personal Information That We Collect
We actively collect certain information you voluntarily provide to us, such as when you create an account and profile, send us an email or post information or other content to our site.
Like most website operators, we automatically collect certain information when you use our site and our services, such as your Internet Protocol address, your operating system, the browser type, the address of a referring site and your activity on our site. We treat this information as personal information if we combine it with or link it to any of the identifying information mentioned above. Otherwise, it is used in the aggregate only.
We may also automatically collect certain information through the use of “cookies” or web beacons.
We also collect the handset information, like handset manufacturer, handset model, mobile OS, wireless carrier info for the purpose of enhancing the performance of our mobile application, MMGuardian, by means of possible customization to certain type of phones.
In order to provide you with the ability to monitor your child’s phone usage or location our Mobile Apps and services may read and transfer to our servers various information about the phone or information stored on the phone, including but not limited to: the phone number, the IMEI, the IMSI, the ICCID, the ESN, the model of the phone, and analytics associated with the usage of our Mobile Apps.
When registering our MMGuardian Parental Control application (for the child’s phone) we will also collect and transfer to our servers: the parent’s email address, password, parent’s and child’s phone number, child’s contacts, applications that are installed on the child’s phone.
When the MMGuardian Parental Control app is in use, we may read, collect and transfer to our servers, the location of your child’s phone in a variety of circumstances, including without limitation: (i) when you request a location update by either an SMS command or from the parent web portal or parent app; (ii) when a pre-schedule location update (Track) is enabled. If you do not wish us to allow us to read or collect your child’s location information you may disable this in the device.
When the MMGuardian Parental Control app is in use, we may read, collect and transfer to our servers your child’s contacts in a variety of circumstances, including without limitation: (i) when the app is registered, (ii) when contacts are added or removed from the device. This is required to enable you to: view the contacts that your child has and to choose whether to allow or block communications with the contact, and to allow you to see contact names in detailed call or SMS reports.
When the MMGuardian Parental Control app is in use, we may read, collect and transfer to our servers your SMS commands or your child’s SMS messages in a variety of circumstances, including without limitation: (i) when you send an SMS command to the MMGuardian application on your child’s phone, (ii) when the MMGuardian application sends an alert to you via SMS, (iii) when you have enabled the Text Monitor function to scan SMS messages, (iv) when you have enabled collection of SMS message details. This is required to enable you to: remotely control application functionality, receive alerts about SMS messages that contain keywords that you have defined, and view detailed SMS reports
When the MMGuardian Parental Control app is in use, we may read, collect and transfer to our servers your child’s detailed call history in a variety of circumstances, including without limitation: (i) when you have enabled collection of voice call details. This is required to enable you to: view detailed voice call reports.
When the MMGuardian Parental Control app is in use, we may read, collect and transfer to our servers information about the applications installed your child’s device and the usage of the applications in a variety of circumstances, including without limitation: (i) when the app is registered, (ii) when applications are added or removed from the device, (iii) when an application is used. This is required to enable you to: view the applications that your child has and to choose whether to allow or block use of the application, and to provide application usage reports.
Our Mobile Apps may at times need to connect to the internet in a variety of circumstances, including without limitation: (i) to connect to our server when registering or logging in to the app, (ii) to send changes to configurations made from within the app to ensure that all apps and the parent web portal remain synchronised, (iii) to send alerts, (iv) to send usage reports. When mobile data is used to connect to the internet, you may be charged by your carrier.
How We Use the Personal Information
to provide our services or information you request, and to process and complete any transactions;
respond to your emails, submissions, questions, comments, requests, and complaints and provide customer service;
to monitor and analyze site usage and trends, and to personalize and improve our site and our users’ experiences on our site, such as providing ads, content, or features that match their profiles or interests, and to increase our site’s functionality and user friendliness;
to send you confirmations, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages and otherwise facilitate your use of, and our administration and operation of, our site; and
For any other purpose for which the information was collected.
How We Share Your Personal Information With Third Parties
with service providers who are working with us in connection with the operation of our site or our services;
when you give us your consent to do so, including if we notify you on our site that the information you provide will be shared in a particular manner and you provide such information;
when we believe in good faith that we are lawfully authorized or required to do so or that doing so is reasonably necessary or appropriate to comply with the law or legal processes or respond to lawful requests or legal authorities, including responding to lawful subpoenas, warrants or court orders;
in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing or acquisition, or in any other situation where personal information may be disclosed or transferred as one of the business assets of us.
We are not responsible for the actions of service providers or other third parties, nor are we responsible for any additional information you provide directly to any third parties.
We collect analytics data about the usage of our Mobile Apps, website and services using Google Analytics. We do not (and will not allow any third party to) use Google Analytics to track, collect or upload any data that personally identifies an individual (such as a name, email address or billing information).

Security of Your Personal Information
We take reasonable security measures to protect your personal information (including, preventing the loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction of your personal information). Please be aware, however, that despite our efforts, no security measures are impenetrable. If you use a password on the Service, you are responsible for keeping it confidential. Do not share it with any other person. If you believe your password has been misused, please advise us immediately.
We will retain your and your child’s information for the duration that your account is active or as needed to provide services.
We will store data for alerts sent to you, your child’s application usage, your child’s calls (if you have opted to collect this data), your child’s SMS messages (if you have opted to collect this data), your child’s location (if you have opted to collect this data) and your child’s web usage (if you have opted to collect this data) for 30 days. After 30 days, data will automatically be deleted.
If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services, contact us at email@example.com. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Your Choice Regarding the Use of Personal Information
You may “opt out” of receiving marketing or promotional emails from us by following the instructions in those emails or by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional emails, such as emails about your accounts or our ongoing business relations.
You may revoke your agreement to our collection of your or your child’s information by contacting email@example.com.
