When logging into the Parent Web Portal, you will soon start to see an alert if there are any updates for the applications installed on any of the phones or tablets on your account.
You’ll see a pop up window the first time, like the one pictured here. On subsequent visits to the web portal, there will be a yellow warning triangle shown next to “My Account” if any apps have available updates. Click on the triangle to show the information window.
Updating the application(s) is performed using the PlayStore app on the phone or tablet. See this page for step-by-step instructions on how to do this, if you are not sure.
We are rolling this new function out based on the version of app(s) currently installed, so even if there is an app update available, you may not see this alert immediately. However, we will be extending the function to cover all versions of apps within a few weeks from the date of this blog post.
Note: this app update available alert does not include the Parent App. We figure that since the Parent App is installed on your own phone, you’ll see the standard notification from PlayStore, when a Parent App update is available.
