CTIA Announces 2013 E-Tech Award Winners
Verizon Wireless Verizon Messages Named “Best of Show”
LAS VEGAS, May 22, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ — CTIA-The Wireless Association today announced the winners for the 2013 Emerging Technology (E-Tech) Awards, at CTIA 2013(TM). Hosted by CNBC Technology Correspondent Jon Fortt, the eighth annual awards ceremony, held on the show floor at the Las Vegas Sands Expo & Convention Center, honored the industry’s most innovative new wireless products and services in mobile apps, consumer electronics, enterprise & vertical markets and network technology.
In addition to the winners of the 15 categories spanning the wireless and mobility ecosystem, Verizon Messages from Verizon Wireless was named “Best of Show.” The best online winner was VMware for its Horizon Workspace 1.0. Show attendees had the opportunity to vote online and via text for the nearly 100 E-Tech submissions that were on display.
“This year’s awards highlight the awe-inspiring and significant impact the wireless industry has on every sector and on our daily lives. E-Tech award submissions were judged on innovation, functionality, technological importance, implementation and overall “wow” factor. Online judging for the awards categories was conducted by a panel of highly-respected industry experts, reporters and analysts.
