Thankfully teens seemed to have moved on from the Tide Pod challenge, but a new challenge has emerged that is proving to also be extremely dangerous- arguably more so due to the fact that the “target” of the challenge isn’t aware of what’s about to happen.
The challenge is typically filmed via the TikTok app and involves three people in a row. The two outside will jump at the same time and then the middle person (the victim) will jump. However, when the middle person is up in the air, the outsiders will attempt to kick the jumper’s legs out from under them, bringing them crashing to the ground. There have been reports of serious injuries such as this 13 year old who felt paralyzed after falling and is currently seeing multiple doctors about concussion-like symptoms, not to mention numerous children who have suffered broken bones.
Parents who have not done so should warn their children about how dangerous this challenge is and spread the word far and wide.
