These days most children are very tech-savvy. They will do whatever they can to get past restrictions that parents try to place on their devices. Safe Mode is an extremely common method that children use to bypass parental controls on Android phones. Given that fact, it’s understandable for parents to want to find ways to block or prevent Safe Mode.
What Is Safe Mode?
When a phone is restarted in Safe Mode, all third-party apps are disabled. This is useful for troubleshooting purposes, but it can obviously be used by children to get around parental control apps that parents have put on their device.
Most parental control apps are not capable of preventing this method of tampering by children. Certainly no apps on the Play Store are able to due to Google’s restrictions for apps on the store. Apps such as Bark, Family Link, Qustodio, and many others are all vulnerable to this loophole.
Please note that at this time, and for the foreseeable future, the version of the MMGuardian app that was capable of blocking any use of Safe Mode is not available.
