MONTCLAIR – MMGuardian, a parental control software application created by TechLaunchgraduate Pervasive Group, was acknowledged as the the first place winner for Technology Innovation yesterday at the CTIA Wireless Show in Las Vegas. The award acknowledges MMGuardian as “the best mobile safety and productivity application of 2013.”
The CTIA Wireless Show is one of the leading industry events in the U.S. serving the mobile market.
“We are very pleased to win this prestigious award and to have been recognized by CTIA and respected industry experts for our technology leadership in the exciting and rapidly growing mobile parental control space,” said Pervasive Group CEO James Zhou. “We will continue to rapidly innovate and build the best possible product, which parents deserve to have to protect their children from the tremendous risks associated with un-controlled use of smartphones and tablets.”
Pervasive Group was one of the ten technology startups that participated in LaunchPad1, TechLaunch’s accelerator program based in Montclair.
Mario Casabona, Founder and CEO of TechLaunch, said, “This is an impressive honor for Pervasive Group, reflecting not only the robust training and preparation they received last year in LaunchPad 1, but the dedication, hard work and sacrifice this great team of entrepreneurs continues to demonstrate as they successfully establish MMGuardian at the forefront of the parental control and protection issue. I couldn’t be more proud of them.”
