Transferring a License or Subscription

Android Phones

If the new phone has the same number as the old one, just install and register the app to the new phone, using your existing account email and password. The system should automatically assign the licence/subscription from the old phone.

However, if the new phone has a different number, then you will need to manually transfer the licence/subscription, as follows:

  1. First, install and register the app to the new phone, using your existing account email and password.
  2. Next, log into the parent web portal, and click on the “Licence Status/Purchase” tab on the lower left of the screen.
  3. Click the “Manage Licences” button. You’ll then see list of existing licences/subscriptions
  4. Click on the relevant “Transfer” button and select the new phone and click the “Transfer License” button.
  5. Note: The new phone number will be listed separately on the web portal, so you may wish to remove the old one, by selecting that old phone in the top bar, then clicking the “Delete From Account” button that can be found in the “Settings” screen.
Android Tablets

You will need to manually transfer the licence/subscription, as follows:

  1. First, install and register the app to the new tablet, using your existing account email and password.
  2. Next, log into the parent web portal, and click on the “Licence Status/Purchase” tab on the lower left of the screen.
  3. Click the “Manage Licences” button. You’ll then see list of existing licences/subscriptions.
  4. Click on the relevant “Transfer” button and select the new tablet and click the “Transfer License” button.
  5. Note: The new tablet will be listed separately on the web portal, so you may wish to remove the old one, by selecting that old tablet in the top bar, then clicking the “Delete From Account” button that can be found in the “Settings” screen.
iPhones, iPads and iPod touch

You will need to manually transfer the licence/subscription, as follows:

  1. First, install and register the app to the new device, using your existing account email and password, then enrol the app.
  2. Next, log into the parent web portal, and click on the “Licence Status/Purchase” tab on the lower left of the screen.
  3. Click the “Manage Licences” button. You’ll then see list of existing licences/subscriptions
  4. Click on the relevant “Transfer” button and select the new device and click the “Transfer License” button.
  5. Note: The new device will be listed separately on the web portal, so you may wish to remove the old one, by selecting that old one in the top bar, then clicking the “Delete From Account” button that can be found in the “Settings” screen.
Licenses

5 Year Licenses may be transferred to new devices for up to 5 years after purchase. On the 5th anniversary of purchase, the license becomes locked to the device that is set as licensed at that date.

Legacy 3 Year One Time Licenses may be transferred to new devices for up to 3 years after purchase. On the 3rd anniversary of purchase, the license becomes locked to the device that is set as licensed at that date.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions may be transferred at any time that the subscription is current, provided that the device type is the same (Android to Android, iPhone to iPhone).
